WHO said, situation in India is beyond heartbreaking: COVID-19

The situation is becoming terrible due to the Coronavirus epidemic across the country. Due to lack of beds, doctor-staff, and medical oxygen in the hospital, the medical system is being stalled, due to which a large number of people are losing their lives. Given the situation in India, the World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern. Indeed, in one of its statements, WHO chief Dros Adhanom Gebreyes has described India’s current situation as heartwarming.

Expressing concern Gebreyes said in a media interaction on Monday, ‘India’s situation has become very fragile now. We say for a bad situation that is heartbreaking, but the situation in India is even worse today. He said that many countries are still facing a severe crisis in Corona, but the situation in India is heartbreaking.

Help came forward WHO

Dros Adhanom Gebreyes said on the recent fast-growing cases of coronavirus in India, ‘Whatever may happen, the organization is doing. We are supplying important equipment and essential materials to India. He said the WHO has deployed more than 2,000 personnel to help India deal with the crisis and it is assisting the authorities in various efforts including vaccination. Gebreyes said that among the materials the organization is sending to India are thousands of oxygen concentrators, prefabricated mobile field hospitals, and laboratory related items.

The international community is helping the country

The international community has started the process of sending medical equipment and supplies to India, which is facing increasing cases of Kovid-19. The Biden administration has said that it is working 24 hours to provide help to India. The Corona Crisis held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden on Monday evening. Apart from the US, Britain, France, Germany Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore have sent relief material. The European Union has said that it will help India. Raw materials, quick test kits, and ventilators for vaccine production from the US are reaching India.
