The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has banned athletes from Russia and Belarus. In view of the Ukraine crisis, the IOC’s Executive Board has decided to stop all International events from organizing in Russia or Belarus. Athletes from these countries will also not be able to participate in events held in other countries.
In fact, the IOC asks the Olympic Association to consider imposing sanctions against Russia and Belarus. This recommendation is accepted in 100% of the cases. Therefore, the IOC’s recommendation of a ban on Russia and Belarus should be considered a ban.
The IOC on Friday condemned him for participating in the Russia-Belarus war. The IOC had said – Executive Board urges all international sports federations to move or cancel their sporting events currently planned in Russia or Belarus. They should take into account the violation of the Olympics by the Russian and Belarusian governments and protect the athletes.
