Parvati Shallow exhibited resilience throughout her journey on Season 2 of The Traitors. Identified as a Traitor after Peter Weber executed his strategic move, Parvati tirelessly fought to remain in the game, even finding herself at odds with fellow Traitor Phaedra Parks during the episode 8 banishment, which ultimately led to her elimination. In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life, Parvati delved into the evolution of her relationship with Phaedra, reflecting on the progression from their tense exchange in episode 4 (“No one likes you, Parvati”) to the mutual disappointment of having to turn against each other for survival.
Reflecting on her elimination episode the day after, the four-time Survivor player expressed the reluctance felt by all Traitors when it came to targeting each other. Parvati acknowledged Phaedra’s unwavering loyalty to the Traitors, appreciating that she was a protective ally. Recalling the moment when Phaedra confronted her for targeting the Real Housewives group, Parvati admitted surprise at the intensity of Phaedra’s reaction during their confrontation in front of Dan Gheesling. Parvati noted, “I was like, ‘Oh, I think she’s really mad.’ Cause Phaedra is a really good actor. She’s like, ‘I’m not an actor.’ Like, we all know you’re an actor — and you’re really good at it! Own that. But she was in character the entire time, even in the turret. So I couldn’t break her.”
Parvati elaborated on the intensity of the altercation, describing it as dramatic with Dan visibly taken aback and stunned. The exchange between her and Phaedra continued for a few minutes, prompting Parvati to adopt a strategy of staying composed and not reacting to diffuse the tension. She emphasized her proficiency in handling such situations, treating personal attacks as water off her back. Parvati recognized that Phaedra’s approach to conflict involved personal attacks, and she understood people with such tendencies.
Despite the heated exchange, Parvati and Phaedra managed to move beyond the conflict and resume targeting the Faithfuls. Parvati credited their ability to overcome the disagreement to Phaedra’s experience on Bravo, stating, “I don’t hold it against her, she didn’t hold it against me, and we moved forward. I think that’s sort of the Housewives way.”
Parvati further revealed her early apprehension regarding the Bravo alliance within the game, expressing her awareness that they would consistently rally to defend Phaedra if she were ever considered a Traitor. She shared her strategic objective of targeting a couple of the Housewives early in the game, driven by the tight bond within their group. Parvati acknowledged the strong camaraderie among the Housewives, recognizing a shared understanding and respect for each other’s experiences and challenges.
Regarding Phaedra’s decision to enlist Kate Chastain as a Traitor in the closing moments of episode 8, Parvati affirmed that she would have made the identical choice if she were in Phaedra’s position. Recounting the pivotal moment in the turret, Parvati disclosed, “I told Phaedra to recruit Kate. I would’ve recruited Kate. We were in the turret, and I was like, ‘If we get a chance to recruit someone, it has to be Kate.’” She explained the rationale behind this decision, citing Kate’s late entrance, which could naturally generate suspicion, and her consistent support for Phaedra during the roundtable discussions. Parvati commended Phaedra’s strategic acumen, acknowledging it as a smart move, and emphasized, “I would’ve done the same.”
