Wreckage of uncontrolled Chinese rocket falls into Southeast Asian seas

A huge 23-tonne rocket weighing uncontrollable in space fell on the earth over the Indian and Pacific Oceans on Saturday afternoon at 12:45 pm. American and Chinese officials gave this information. The Long March 5B rocket was launched into space on 24 July.

US space agency NASA manager Bill Nelson has criticized China for not sharing information. Nelson said that if information had been given about the rocket from China, then the risky impact of its possible debris would have been known. This Chinese rocket could prove to be a big threat. Actually, China had not informed anyone about this in advance.

The purpose of 5B was to transport the lab module to the space station that China is building. However, the rocket did take the lab module to the under-construction space station in China, but after that it became uncontrollable. China’s space agency said that most parts of Long March 5B had burned up in the atmosphere. Rocket debris re-entered Earth over the Sulu Sea in the Pacific Ocean.

As soon as the debris of the rocket was seen falling, people made and shared videos of it. Many users described it as meteorite rain. People said that a bright light appeared in the sky. The sky was completely filled with red, blue, and yellow light. It was as if someone had filled the black canvas with colors.

In May last year also, a Chinese rocket went out of control, which fell into the sea near the border of Maldives in the Indian Ocean and a passenger ship was passing just a kilometer away from the place where the rocket landed. In May 2020, a similar wreck damaged several properties on the Ivory Coast.

The Chinese government had said that there would be no danger to anyone due to the return of the rocket to Earth, as it is likely to fall into the sea. However, there was also the possibility of debris falling on the residential area.

That satellites and rockets launched from the earth become debris after a time by going into space. This debris is not only fatal for active satellites and space missions but can also prove to be dangerous for Earthlings.
