In her social media post, she expressed her dedication to the people of Iran and shared the video, captured by the talented videographer @joystrotz, showcasing her powerful statement. The dress, designed by @jilaatelier, carried a significant message. Additionally, she extended her gratitude to her manager, Myhanh from @mahlaghamanagement, for making this impactful moment possible. The model shed light on the concerning rise in executions within Iran, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and the threats it poses to human rights. This alarming issue has captured the attention of campaigners worldwide.

In a report released by Iran Human Rights, a Norway-based human rights organization, it was disclosed that Iran had executed over 500 individuals in 2022, marking the highest execution rate in five years. Similarly, the organization’s findings indicated that at least 333 people were executed in Iran in 2021. Additionally, the report highlighted that official sources accounted for 55 of these executions, comprising approximately 16.5 percent of the total. These statistics shed light on the concerning state of executions in Iran and the need for continued attention to protect human rights.

The 2021 report revealed that a significant majority of executions, accounting for 83.5 percent (278 executions in total), were not officially announced by the authorities. Among the recorded executions, at least 183 (55 percent) were carried out for murder charges, as outlined in the report.

Additionally, the report highlighted a notable increase in executions for drug-related charges, with 126 cases (38 percent) in 2021 compared to 25 cases (10 percent) in 2020. It is worth noting that none of the drug-related executions were reported by official sources. These findings underscore the concerning lack of transparency surrounding executions and the significant number of individuals subjected to the death penalty in Iran.

In May, two individuals convicted of blasphemy, Yusef Mehrdad and Sadrullah Fazeli Zare, were executed by hanging. The two men had been arrested in May 2020 and subsequently received death sentences in April 2021 for their involvement in operating online “anti-Islam groups and channels,” as reported by the Iranian news agency Mizan. This incident highlights the severe consequences individuals may face in Iran for alleged acts of blasphemy and the enforcement of such punishments by the authorities.
